Updates are here! Office 365 in the Mount Marty environment is ready for deployment. We will be moving from the older 2016 verision of Office to the newest version (365) This will require our admin credentials and is not something you can do on your own. Your Office products such as Word, Powerpoint, Excel, etc. may have some cosmetic changes with some functional enhancements.
Do you need to upgrade: Search in your Windows menu for an Office product (Word, PPT, Excel) If you have a 2016 version, you need to upgrade.
What we need to do: Find a date and time to upgrade your Office products. Bring your device to the IT helpdesk so IT can begin the upgrade.
Update duration: Let's plan for 30-45 minutes per user. Typically the removal of the old version can take anywhere from 15-30 minutes. The install of the new 365 version will also take anywhere from 15-30 minutes as well.
Notes: If the removal of the old application does not go smoothly, we will have to run an Office cleaner tool that has previously taken about an hour or so. You can also leave your device and credentials with the IT technicians so they can take care of the upgrade.
