What is a NFC card?
A NFC card stands for near-field communication and it is a set of communication protocols that enables communication between two electronic devices over a distance of 4cm or less.
What a NFC is used for?
Certain classrooms on the Mount Marty Yankton Campus have ActivPanel 9 Promethean panels installed. These new generations of Promethean Panels offer a tap to sign in function, tied to a NFC card. After creation of a Promethean account, you are able to register a NFC card with your Mount Marty account.
(For a list of compatible classrooms, contact the IT department.)
Once the card is tied to your MMU account, you will be able to connect your Google Drive or One Drive. Your connected cloud drives will show in the Files app, so you can easily manage your files. You also can save content straight from the Promethean panel and store directly in your cloud storage.
