Connecting an Android to the Wireless Network

Connecting Android to Staff/Faculty/Student Wireless Network

  1. Go to “Settings” on your Android.

  2. Click on “Wireless & Network Settings”.

  3. Click “Wifi” and connect to connect_mountmarty.

  4. Next open the “Chrome” or “Browser” and type in a website to be redirected to the Mount Marty onboarding site.

  5. Check the box on the left of the “I Agree to the Terms & Conditions” and click the “Start>” button.

  6. Next choose “Staff/Faculty/Students”.

  7. Type in your Mount Marty username and password.

  8. The next page will show you if you have any certificates already installed on other devices. You may remove a certificate if you do not need it anymore. If you have never connected a device to the wireless you will not have any certificates on this page.

  9. Click next

  10. The next page will display “Registration Successful"

  11. Connect to device_secure network in your phone settings with using the password mmcconnect.

  12. If your Android phone does not connect you will need to change an additional setting on your phone. Here are the instructions on how to do this.

  13. Open your Settings app on your phone (Looks like a Gear)

  14. Then change from Randomized MAC to phone MAC

  15. Go back to main screen on your phone and Go through the connecting to WiFi process again.

  16. Open your connections link

  17. Open your WiFi link

  18. Click the gear on the WiFi connection and choose MAC address type

  19. Now change from Randomized MAC to Phone MAC

  20. Go back to the main screen on your phone and start the connecting to WiFi process again.
