If you notice your monitor(s) is not turning on or properly functioning, please try the following steps before contacting the IT helpdesk.
Please:
- Make sure power cord is plugged into an outlet
- Unplug power cord from monitor
- Wait 15 seconds
- Plug the monitor back in
- Press monitor's power button
Note: If power button sticks, contact the IT helpdesk
- If monitor still doesn't turn on manually, shutdown computer
- Change power strips
- Press monitor's power button
- Re-seat video cables at monitor and computer
Note: Ensure monitors are connected to graphics card if card is installed
- Boot computer
- If issue still persists, try different display cable
If the issue remains, contact the IT helpdesk for assistance.
