How to use a Network Shared Drive

Body

Network Shared Drive

Network Shared Drive:

A network drive is a shared storage device on a local area network (LAN) within a business or home. It can be a physical or virtual device, enabling users to store and access files from various devices that are connected to the network. They are accessed using their universal naming convention path such as \servername\sharename. The user must have appropriate permissions to access files on the network drive.

How to Request Access to a Shared Network Drive:

First, the user must get approval from the corresponding department/division head, then the department/division head will need to submit a Service Request on the users behalf.
