The Content Collection feature in Blackboard is a powerful tool that enables instructors to store, manage, and share content efficiently within the Learning Management System (LMS).

Move Original Content Collection to Ultra Content Collection

In Original Blackboard Course, 

  1. Open the course specific content collection. 
  2. Select the files to be incorporated into the Ultra Content Collection. 
  3. Select Download Package

In Ultra Blackboard Course,

  1. On the Course Content page, in the desired location, click on the + icon.   
  2. Select Content Collection and then Browse Content Collection
  3. Select Upload Zip Package and create an appropriately named folder. 
  4. Browse Local Files, select zipped folder downloaded from OCV, and then Submit

The files added to Content Collection will be displayed and can be immediately added to Course Content or added later. 

Add Content Collection files to the Course Content 

  1. On the Course Content page, in the desired location, click on the + icon.   
  2. Select Content Collection  
  3. Select Browse Content Collection to view the available files.  
  4. Select the check box next to the desired file name.  
    • You can continue to browse and select files. The system shows how many files you’ve selected at the bottom of the window.  
  5. When ready to add, select Submit to review your list of selected items. 
  6. Select Save to add the content to your course.

Maintain an organized Content Collection  

Check Course Size

  1. In the Course Content area click the plus sign  (+) and select Content Collection.
  2. Click Browse Content Collection.
  3. At the top right-hand side you will see your remaining available quota.
    • Course file size is limited to 500 MB.
       

Delete Unused Files

  1. Open the Ultra course. 
  2. Click the three dots menu on the right side of the Course Content page and select “Unused Files”. 
  3. Check the boxes next to the files you want to remove. 
  4. Click “Delete Files”.
