OneDrive: 

Microsoft OneDrive is a file hosting service operated by Microsoft. First released in August 2007, it allows registered users to store, share and sync their files. OneDrive also works as the storage backend of the web version of Microsoft 365 \ Office. User’s Mount Marty accounts are licensed with Office products and are available for download.

Storage Capacity:

Users will have up to 1TB of free storage within OneDrive. Files can be dragged and dropped, uploaded, or created within OneDrive.

Pros:

  • Microsoft uses strong encryption to protect your data both during transit and at rest

  • File formats remain consistent with origin

  • Enables users to securely share files both internally and externally of the organization

Cons:

  • You must be signed into your OneDrive account

  • Sync duration issues

  • Sync over multiple devices issues

  • Special character limitations when naming files
