Research: Signing In to our Databases

 

In order to access information on the EBSCO Discovery Services (EDS) portal, all patrons must sign in using their official Mount Marty University (MMU) credentials. This article will walk you through the proper authentication steps once you have opened the portal.

  1. Once you are on the EDS homepage, look at the top right-hand corner of the screen and click on MyEBSCO. Detail shot of the upper right navigation panel highlighting the MyEBSCO button location
  2. From the options presented, click Sign in to MyEBSCO. The drop-down interface with the option to click Sign in to MyEBSCO highlighted
  3. On the login page, DO NOT input your username or email address into the standard text boxes. Instead, click the Sign In with Google button. The EBSCO sign-in window showing standard entry fields and emphasizing the Sign in with Google option below them
  4. Proceed to sign in normally using your standard MMU Google account credentials.
  5. If you are prompted with a choice to "Personalize your account", please agree to it.

    Important Note:

    Failing to opt into personalizing your account can sometimes cause a circular sign-in loop that prevents you from successfully logging into the system.

Once successfully authenticated, your portal session is fully active. You are now ready to search the system, read and download articles, create custom projects and folders, and manage your research materials.
